Plastic-Free Commitment

Over 20 years ago, NelFarms took a decisive step towards sustainability by phasing out the use of plastics. This proactive measure aligns with our dedication to preserving the environment and mitigating plastic pollution.

Eco-Friendly Egg Packaging

In our commitment to sustainability, all our egg packaging is produced in-house using recycled waste paper. By repurposing materials that would otherwise end up in landfills, we contribute to a circular economy and reduce the strain on natural resources.

Rainwater Harvesting

Investment in Facilities

NelFarms continues to invest in modern, industry leading facilities to maximize the level of disease protection and optimize the poultry house environment for the well being and care of all flocks. The facilities are designed to comply with all the vital industry standards. All our breeder houses are environmentally controlled and tunnel ventilated with a high level of Automation.

Understanding our Customers

NEL strives to fully understand the customer quality expectations from bird health, chick quality, optimal delivery, preferred scheduling, accurate documentation and acceptable health certificate criteria. All the components in completing successful, individual customer supply and delivery are captured by our Perfect Order Quality System which ensures quality of product and delivery matches the requirements and expectations of our customer. The standards are regularly reviewed as part of the continuous improvement philosophy.

  • Proper waste management: We have a comprehensive waste management plan in place to ensure that all waste is disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner. We compost all poultry waste and use it as a natural fertilizer for our crops, reducing the need for synthetic fertilizers.
  • Conservation of natural resources: We recognize the importance of conserving natural resources and work to reduce our water and energy usage wherever possible. This includes using energy-efficient lighting, using renewable energy sources such as solar, and practicing water conservation measures through rain water harvesting.
